2009 Honda Sport Fit

The 2009 Honda Fit Sports is a sports car that does a lot to bring back the style and feel of the classic Honda hatchbacks of the 80s and 90s. The Honda line as of late has become somewhat standard in the areas of size, weight, and sophistication. This new model adds some excitement back into the mix of what has largely become a boring vehicle line. The Honda Fit Sport undercuts the price of the Civic, features the same hatchback design, and is even a bit roomier. Even so, it is one of the smallest cars on the road making it a great compact choice.

As a sports car, the Honda Fit Sport is on the weak side. It features only 117 horsepower, and a 1.5 liter 4 inline cylinder. Well, on the positive side, it is one of the lightest cars on the road with a curb weight of 2600 pounds. Other popular compact sports cars today weigh hundreds of pounds more. This car should not be confused with previous Honda models as it is more sophisticated in many ways. For example, it features a redline of 6800 rpms, which is not bad for a hatchback compact.

You really can’t go wrong with the Honda Fit Sports car when it comes to price either. It features a suggested retail price of $14,450 to $16,060. The car has a lot of sordid extras here and there including improved suspension, sportier exterior design, steering rigidity enhancements, improved rear Magic Seat, high-end safety equipment, and front seat active restraints. Even the engine which is relatively weak for a sports car is more powerful than past models. What makes this such a great car is that it offers premium features, advanced technology, and high functionality all in a small package.

While this sports car is small on the outside, on the inside it is actually quite spacious. It features a passenger volume of 90.8 cubic feet and a 20.6 cubic feet cargo area. The seats are also adjust

able based on your cargo. The many different configurations include: tall object mode, long object mode, utility mode, and the default 5 passenger mode. The rear Magic Seat has been improved to provide one motion dive down functionality without having to remove the rear seat restraints. This can provide up to 57.3 cubic feet of cargo space.

You can also count on the Fit to deliver such amenities as air conditioning, radio/CD player, four speakers, MP3/WMA playback, Radio Data System, power windows, power mirrors, and power door locks. The Fit Sport also features alloy wheels, an underbody aero kit, and a security system with keyless entry. The front McPherson strut suspension helps to improve the overall driving experience as well as enhance the overall sporty quality of the vehicle. There is also an optional navigation system. Ultimately, this is a great sports car/ compact car that is available at a price that almost anybody will be able to afford.
